Pelion region, Skopelos and Skiathos - the three principal locations in Greece where the film was shot.
- Skiathos
In here is located the Old Port of Skiathos . The port was the backdrop for the scene, where fathers meet for the first time. Film fans also recognize beautiful sand beaches often appearing in the movie. A must to see is also St. Nikolaos Bell Tower. Place where Sophie sent wedding invitations to her three possible fathers.The view from tower is not exactly the same like in movie, but still a breathtaking and allows lookout all of Skiathos town.

- Skopelos
Well known for all Mamma Mia fans Kalokairi island it really the Greek island of Skopelos. In here was filmed the most of the outdoor scenes from Mamma Mia.The scenes were shot on the several beaches and towns on the island.Mountainous peninsula near Glisteri was used as a place where Sophie leaves for her wedding. Jumping scene ,where Sophie and her potential fathers jumps from the cliff was located in the same peninsula.On Skopelos are located chapel where outdoor wedding scenes were filmed.
- Pelion region
Damouchari place where film crew stayed during filming. The place also was used in many image shots. Images of Damouchari was used at the beginning of movie, where Christine Baranski and Julie Walters arrive on the island and met by Meryl Streep. In the Pelion area was filmed dance on the jetty. In here was filmed scene where women jumping to the water.
